I have a 5906 and its DA is right up there with my better DA revolvers--VERY smooth. The grip is much improved, too. The 59 and 5906 are SO different in action and feel that it's hard to believe they're the same basic gun, or that one evolved from the other.I think it was the way the back of the grip was designed.
