I tried other Ruger grips on my Wranglers......Grip to frame fit sucked. How about you above posting the bottoms of your Wranglers with replacement grips for view. Thanks

Most of the grips I pictured above, the fit of the grips ranges from poor to good.
In general the older the grips the better the fit on both the Wrangler Birdshead
and the Regular grip frames. I have other newer SS Ruger single actions with
Regular and Bisley grip frames in 22, 44 and 45 that have just as poor fitting
grips from the factory as the Wrangler

I have changed grips on three Wranglers. The one that needed the least filing to fit was the Super Wrangler

My "Cobalt Blue" Davidson's Birdshead Wrangler with the original wood grips, and then with some extra grips that came with my Birdshead Vaquero.45C. The aftermarket grips are marked "Boone Trading Company' from Washington State.
