Gathering items for 480 Ruger loads. Lee doesn't have an off the shelf sizer for .475 bullets so I have to order a custom die. What has been the diameter of the new Bisley Blackhawk barrels in 480 Ruger? I can order in any size I need. It seems strange that for as long as the 475 Linebaugh and 480 Ruger have been available that they don't have this size.

I think most are .478.
I believe that Hamilton Bowen said the cylinder throats of the 480 were .478 if I read the article right. I just reread the article and he stated the barrel was .475 on the gun he had. I was also informed over at singleactions.com that Midway has a .476 sizer now. They still don't list them on the LEE website.

Best bet when shooting lead in a handgun is to know the important dimensions of your gun. Slug the barrel ("supposed to be" sometimes ain't). Measure the cylinder throats (again, sometimes "supposed to be" ain't). I have found that lead bullets sized to the same diameter as my cylinder throats works best, more so than BHN...
