Does anyone know if the LCRx will be offered in .357?

I'd really like a LCR with the ability to fire SA/DA. Personally, I'd like the shorter barrel, but would take a 3".

One member reported getting a positive response to his suggestion of an LCRx in .22LR, but no-one's mentioned having any such success suggesting the same in .357

I find the .38+P model offers me all I need for a center-fire, but I'd likely buy a 3" .22 LCRx as well.

As do I. I don't think 357 would be much fun in such a light gun, and I don't think it really necessary for the intended purpose.

Think the 38 frame is aluminum while the 357 is cast stainless, they might have to do a whole new frame for the 357, while it would be easy to do other calibers in the machined aluminum one.

Guessing that's why we have not seen a 357, which is what I'm hoping for as well.

My wife has the shrouded hammer LCR and I have an LCRX, both 2" .38s and the DA triggers are very much the same.

Overkill..... +P .38 spl more than adequate.

There's no kill, like overkill!

I called Ruger, left them a email and filled out the "Tell the CEO" link on the LCRx 3" 357 mag. I want one, so bad! My wife has the 3" LCRx right now, and she loves it, such a sweet trigger...

I would like one with bit more oomph, so that's why I want a 357. And a 357 is just more versatile.

Honestly, I know several people who own 357s in the 17oz. and under weight class; none of them carry these guns with 357 ammo. All carry 38+p.
The LCRX is a real nice SA/DA and all you will practically be able to shoot in that weight. For real 357 carry an SP101 would serve you better, and is only marginally larger than the LCR and is available SA/DA. And did I mention that it's also purdy :D ?
