I've owned both and prefer the slightly smaller size of the S&W. The only time I had LCR trigger issues was when I did it intentionally, but just the fact I could do it always kept a little bit of fear in the back of my head that it at least "could" happen when I wasn't trying to do it.

As the question is posed by the OP, S&W takes the cake due to the size difference.

A few years ago I EDC'd a 642. At a gun show, coming across a table of compact revo's I did a SxS comparo with the 642's and the Taurus 650 CIA. As viewed through my meticulous machinist eyes, the CIA won in every category applicable at a gun show (fit, finish, lockup, etc). The 642's failed horribly next to those 650's. Even the 642 in my pocket fell short.
If I ever enter the compact carry revolver market again, I'll be hunting down a 650 CIA. Sadly, they have been discontinued, but Taurus will honor the lifetime warranty.
