^^^ The more you buy, the cheaper per 1K they are because of the shipping and HazMat. I bought 2K a while back on this deal and it came out to $58 or something per 1K. (I am guessing).
How much was the gas, entry fee, and parking? I would buy that way too but the one (small) local show disappeared and a round trip to Denton or Sherman uses $20 in gas. I can afford that but it must be factored in the price per unit equation. Also, what's your time worth?I just went to the gun show in MB,SC and bought 3-100 count packs of Large pistol primers, a bag of 9mm brass shells, a box of 9mm bullets and a 1lb bottle of 4350 smokeless powder. None of the vendors charged me tax or that shipping fee, so the whole lot was 30% cheaper that buying from a wed dealer.
If only they had LPP for anything close to that price! Standard LPP are what I'm shortest on...I've jumped on that one a couple times in the last year or two. Only primers I have bought in years. In 2019 I got 5K SPP for $140 shipped. Probably won't see that again.
The powder dealer paid those fees when he bought them and integrated that into the price you paid. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean you didn't pay it.I just went to the gun show in MB,SC and bought 3-100 count packs of Large pistol primers, a bag of 9mm brass shells, a box of 9mm bullets and a 1lb bottle of 4350 smokeless powder.
