I was watching m1 carbine shows on YouTube and kept thinking that the 10 mm mag would be awesome in a m1 carbine .A pump 10 mm mag carbine that could shoot 40 sw 10 mm and 10 mm mag also crossed my mind .The 10 22 came from the m1 carbine and the 44 deer stalker also did somewhat. WE need some more good old guns tired of the new plastic ones coming out

Love the M-1 carbine, but you are asking for a gun for which (1) commercial ammunition is practically non-existent; (2) there are no (?) viable commercial magazines; and (3) the current MSRP to achieve a similar level of quality to GI carbines is over $1k, before R&D into the new chambering.

Could be a very interesting one-off project, but I don't ever see anyone taking this on commercially.

The PC9 is just a bigger 10-22: It comes in 40 S & W. 10mm Glock mags are available from several sources (except where limited to 10 rounds but some 10 round mags are available, I believe) I am impressed by my wife's in 9mm.

I understand where you're coming from. Keep in mind, it was tried with the Deerfield and carbine in .44 mag (I have one of each), but sales were not good. Yet Hi-Point has one, just not an M1 platform. The market decided.

Other than basically starting from scratch to make the bigger cartridges fit, it shouldn't be any problem(smirk, smirk).
Go with an AR(ish) 10mm and be happy.

Here is my 10mm. I can't call it a Carbine, but it feels like one. I will be heading to the range soon with this 10mm for the first time. I will also be bringing an M1 Garand and a M1 Carbine that I have never shot.

OK?
Tell me how a 10MM is going to be 'better' than a 300AAC? Both are going to be LOUD from a 10.5" (or shorter ) barrel. The only place an improvement can be possible is whether the flat meplat of the 10MM offers more stopping effect than a fast expanding weight retaining .308 bullet.
Why not bump up to the 44 AutoMag?
