This is how I'd labelled the ammo can tag. Inside the can, one of the bags was labelled "#2 brass don't mix with good brass" (meaning I considered this the final loading for this bunch). Since Son doesn't pay much heed to my constant harping about using a brass catcher and the kids don't even have a clue, I handed this out for Grandson to get some practice time. Before I did, I dumped out 50 rounds or so for my practice. This morning, I ran 5 of this lot through the HOWA at the 350 yard gong.
Using tired/ mixed brand/ready for the recycler brass, ? primers, pull down WCC 844 powder, bulk pack Hornady 55SP, and absolutely no attention to finding a 'best load' that 350 yard group was surprising. Through the scope the bullet splashes were overlapping. Maybe I was especially lucky.
