just picked up a single six.

It is a 9 1/2 inch barrel, made approx 1979 according to ruger sight. aluminum grip frame and ejector housing. My question is about the finish on the cylinder frame. it is a dark grey color and does not look like blueing. Does anyone know what about this finish?

HI A lot of the grip frames turned gray but I have never seen a gray cyl frame
