I will have to plan a photo shoot, whenever I figure out how to post pictures here.
New to this forum, but a gun collector for 50++ years, lol too many to count.

Well, instead of posting your rude sarcastic picture, in hopes of harassing the "new guy", why not be informative or helpful.
I've been through a war and decades of life, your not capable of intimating me.

Pretty common to get the "this thread is usless without pictures" reply to any interesting post. It means we would love to see your gun in case we want to buy one too! Speaking of which if anyone can post a pic of said gun as a Navy vet I'm pretty intersted in seeing it too. Im sure someone will chime in soon to give you some info on posting pics.

More important than the pictures, let us know how it shoots! Welcome to the forum. Nice gun, BTW! Ed

Its a joke bud, first day on al gores interweb?

I trust you will continue in your regular employment and not venture into comedy.

I was told I must use a web photo source to post pictures, seems to be a process that is not as simply as it could be. I belong to several other forums, all provide direct entry of photos, I mistakenly thought this forum was the same. My error.

For those that are interested, I traded for the SR1911 yesterday, it is mint, unfired. As a proud ex- member of the Navy armed forces, and survivor of four tours of duty in Vietnam, I am quite excited to get this SR1911. A 1911 lived with me, and was there to keep me safe for all those years.
I plan to shoot the SR1911 as soon as the Midwest weather patterns will allow.

diablos30 - most here took your picture for what it is. Show pics or it didn't happen perfectly
acceptable here by almost everyone. All in good fun. No problem

you'll have to upload them to a site like photobucket. once you do they have an "img" link that you can post here.

no pics = round house kick

lol

Upload your picture to an account on photobucket.com (for example). Once that is done, on the right side of the page displaying the picture in your account will be several links that can be cut and pasted, I usually use the "direct link". Once you have the direct link cut to your clipboard, come here, open the thread you want the picture in, compose a new post in the thread and include the image tag [\b] http://url of the direct link to the image you want to post [b][\img][/b].

That is one of the ways to do it that is fairly straight forward and easiest to explain to achieve what you want to do. There is another way utilizing the Img button in the full post editor that is actually easier to use, but harder to explain. I hope this helps get you started.

That is my only problem with this gun, I have no connection to the Navy, so it would be silly for my to get one. If they came out with a similar model, without the Navy Emblems, I'd be all over it. Night sights would be nice too. I prefer black guns for CCW, and night sights are a big plus. Thanks for your service, and I'm sure you'll love the new 1911 even more after you shoot it. Ed
