See that groundhog way down there at the edge of that last cornfield? He's laughing at you.
Good luck, that's a pretty good ways down there.

Just as I remember it. Corn and alfalfa every where!!! That's why Wisconsin deer are FAT!!!

I used to do most of my deer hunting in Jackson County, south of Black River Falls. 8)

There's a country song, something about not being able to live, where corn don't grow. Across the river behind me is a good bottomland field. Its alternated from corn to soy beans yearly. Common method here. The dog is giving you the Zen treatment. Pick up the ball, you know you want to pick up the ball. stevemb

oh ya I know of that land ,
lets see if you know this, say you where coming down from BRF on Hwy 27 and turned west at Shamrock , went about 3 miles west to the T then turned south went about 2 miles south to where the road made a Y do you remember or know the farm that was on the left or east side right at the Y , small Yellow house , next to the road with a larger barn sitting back a little to the east of the house

In my mind I do remember a yellow house. Trying to remember if it was a pale yellow or a brighter yellow. Looking at your picture again... the line of hills in the distance is starting to look familiar. I always liked that country around there. Moreso than where I lived at the time.... Madison and Stoughton. I worked for St of Wis. Department of Health and Social Services in Madison. Madison was (and likely still is) a hotbed of socialism. I preferred being around country folks instead of liberal city folks.
