Rest in Peace John Linebaugh---I had to stop at the 454 Casull, (that was enough "fun" for me) but I greatly admired your big revolvers and the fine workmanship! Back when I was managing gun stores, I had the opportunity to purchase a BNIB Ruger 357 Max revolver and briefly considered sending it to John and having him turn it one of his master creations, but I was already invested in two Freedom Arms 454 revolvers and a pile of ammo...

That's terrible news! I can’t believe it. I’ll never forget the stuff I learned from him after several long talks over the years and a couple guns he did for me. He was a legend and will be greatly missed.

No confirmation of this on line that I can find either. Not even on his web site. Seems odd but ….. ya never know.

We were shocked to hear about John's passing Sunday. Our families lived a couple of blocks apart for many, many years in Pickering, MO, and his entire family were wonderful people. Most of the locals weren't surprised when John became a gunsmith, (the cannon he once built is still remembered by many of us) but few could have predicted the the accomplishments he would go
on to achieve in the industry. Our prayers are with his brother, his children, and all their families.
