As noted,,, it's an older youtube thing. But it is still funny AND sad at the same time.
Clueless people. I see it all the time. As mentioned above,,, when we see the signs "no guns allowed," and the feel good mentality is happy. They live in a rose colored glass world. I have witnessed it way too much.
Heck,, I have a good friend,, whom I call my "brother by a different mother," who is one of 4 kids. His older brother, retired from a good city job. His older sister,,, a State LEO agent. He retired as a Federal agent. And his younger sister,,,, she one stood right in my face & said; "If we got rid of all the guns then there wouldn't be any crime or criminals." My friend,,, hung his head,,, covered his eyes,, and waited to see what happened. I chose to not deeply engage her in an intelligent conversation as she just wouldn't listen. Oh,,, her profession at the time,,, a stripper.
Well, after suffering first hand abuse,, and seeing reality smack her in the face,,, she is now a CCW holder.
Until stupid people are educated by reality,,, they are clueless about real life. They live in a self built, bubble of their own imagined utopia.
And this woman who complains about the location of the signs,,, well,,,, first I wonder if she knows what the universal highway signs say. White signs,,, with black letters are regulatory,, meaning it's the law. Yellow signs with black letters are cautionary,,,, meaning the drivers are to take precautions,,, about whatever the conditions are.
And to further prove there are folks who do not understand this concept. Once,, long ago,,, I was on my way to college. I was in the curvy mountain roads of my home area. We have yellow signs,,, with black letters showing curves and suggested speeds. The actual speed limit was 55 in the area I was in. Posted with a white sign & black letters. Well, I got behind a county LEO. He was doing 25-30 mph in the 55 zone. I waited until I had a legal passing zone,, and I passed him,,, all fully legal. Then I ramped it up to the speed limit. After about 4-5 miles,,, way back in my rear view mirror,, I saw a short flash of blue lights. A few more curves,, and I realized it was gaining on me. I wondered if it was the county mountie. So, I pulled over,, well before he got near me. He topped the hill,,, saw me stopped & standing beside my car. He locked it down, slid in,,, and got out. He proceeded to try & give me a tongue lashing about passing him, and exceeding the speed limit. I actually knew him,,, and had waved to him as I had passed him. Once he allowed me to speak, I said; Roger,,, those speed limits you are mentioning are on yellow signs with black letters. Those are cautionary, while the posted speed limit is 55,, as noted by the white signs & black letters. What law did I break?" He stopped,,, started to speak,,, and realized he'd made a very stupid assessment of things. He apologized.
