WOW Our power wasn't even off that long during the Big Freeze of two years ago. Sorry to hear that. Ours or Son's never went off.It never got near that cold here, thankfully. We did lose electricity Wednesday night or Thursday morning and power was not restored until yesterday morning. The joys of no heat, lights, water what a barrel of fun!
I see China Spring is outside of Waco. I lived in Dallas 27 years, Huntsville, 22 years and Pflugerville/Austin 4 years. I'm a "recovering cyclist (peddle type) and have doe the Waco ride a number of times. I don't remember if we rode through or near China Springs though.Just back from the range. I know many of you were concerned about me getting a bout of hyperthermia. I persevered in the 76 degree temp and survived.![]()
"Pants" what are "pants"? I was required to leave all my pants at the state line when we moved to St. Pete. Nearly cried when I gave my jeans to the state police. :-( Tee shirt, shorts and sandals or flip flops are the required attire. Formal dress requires a Hawaiian shirt and enclosed sandals with your shorts. If the temp should drop below 70 you are allowed to wear a light jacket with your shorts and sandals. Head gear other than a baseball caps are strictly forbidden. Violations are enforced by the Florida Clothing Nazis. If caught you are forced to wear the jeans, a flannel shirt, and enclosed shoes for two weeks during the summer.I've been in Florida for 18 months now. I would like a few more cool days. Nothing too cold though. Just cold enough to wear pants and a light jacket
China Spring is only about 5 miles from Waco, so close enough to be handy but still rural enough for my tastes!I see China Spring is outside of Waco.
