I picked up an interesting ..or at least to me.. Single-Six a few years back. It is a high condition 3-digit, #581, with its original box and all the papers. It has some pretty gold and red streaks on the cylinder frame. Most interesting thing is that it was originally purchased by Roy Jinks, Historian of Smith & Wesson fame. I talked to Roy and he told me that he bought it back in 1954 because he could not afford a Colt at that time! :) Its a great RSS with some history and I am happy to be its caretaker for a while!

That looks unfired! Very nice. I would much rather have a 1950's Single Six than a new one. And the 7.5" Hunters with a scope are very accurate!

Way cool Bill! I LIKE it!

I met Roy a few times at SHOT. He was a real nice gentleman. One time, he was signing some of his books,, and I asked about getting one. He replied; "I only brought these copies for folks I promised them to." I thanked him & we had a short visit. A year later,, I saw him again at SHOT,, and he said; "I remembered you wanted a book,,, here is yours!" He signed it to me! Amazing memory & very thoughtful!
