I think that Timmy would disagree on what bears will eat. Or would if they hadn't eaten him and his girlfriend. Bears are an omnivorous, apex predator. They will hunt, fish, scavenge.

I am all for releasing many grizzly bears in commiefornia and making them federally protected. The lawn at the state capitol in Sacramento should be the first release followed by Hollywood, Malibu and other wealthy green areas.

Different subspecies! Grizzlies in the Rockies eat bugs and grass for their first month each year. Alaskan brown bears are larger due to a fish diet. Grizzlies in the Rockies are more vegetarian. Did you know that three mammals have bunodont molars? (That means the molars have 4 cusps on them and are used for grinding vegetable food). Thos three animals are humans, pigs, and bears. For instance, bears in the Rockies will eat a lot of acorns at lower elevations. When the acorn crop is poor, they will eat yellow pine seeds. Yellow pine seeds contain phytoestrogens. These compounds act like estrogen and will prevent the embryos from implanting, controlling the population and reducing the drain on the mother's winter reserves.
