Installing barrel and receiver to grip frame?

As most on here knows I had a Mark IV 22/45 sent in for deep scratches and received a new gun. Then the new gun has one grip insert stripped and a new grip frame was sent. Now comes my question, when installing the barrel assembly to the new grip frame I can't just press it on. I have to push in on the release slightly then the assembly falls right in and locks. The gun shoots great and works perfect but to snap the top down I have to press in on the release ever so slightly. Is this ok to do, I really don't want to return it anymore. Thanks

Sounds like just a minor tolerance issue. With a bit of use, it will probably resolve itself.

push the button to remount, save wear and tear....High Standard found this out many years ago, in time it wears and will loosen up..........
