I received a gp100 stainless in a group of pistols that I purchased. I was wondering what the value of this pistol is , and any info on model number, and if it is a common variety. The pistol has been shot, carbon on cylinder face, very nice shape, no obvious flaws.
Thanx

Hello. You have a half shroud gp100. Not very common. Go to the ruger site and follow the trail to serial numbers. It will give you a year it was made/shipped. OR call ruger records and they will answer your question. AS for value. need more info. Is the box/paperwork with it, condition, sn? hth greg

Hi, Thanx for responding. No box or paperwork, serial number 170-41xxx,
i would rate condition as 98%, very slight cylinder ring, wood side panels have 3 scratches if you look toward the light, three small scratches, less than 1/8, almost undetectable.

I believe the catalog number is KGP-161 for that pistol, new they are about $525, used go from $300-$450.
Tough as nails and fun to shoot! Enjoy it!
I've never been fortunate enough to buy a "group" of guns at one time, tho there were a couple of times where 2 were purchased together.

Nice GP, while I'm not a big fan of half-shroud's, I have the same gun. It shoots and handles great, also fits in my BH holsters. You can't really go wrong with the GP's, good strong revolvers.
