Great story @Dan in MI ! My Dad got me started on Marlin 39’s. It was his only rifle. I now have enough for all my kids.

Ran across these at a gun show about a month ago. Bought them just because I have never seen any. 10 bucks.

Yes Great Great Grandfathers rifle. Funny thing when I saw that gun again a flood of memories came back to me. One of which was being taught gun safety and how to shoot.
Another memory was of my father putting pennies nickels and dimes in the bark of a tree and shooting them with that same gun, it was my job to watch and scurry and and find the coins after he hit them. I remember the big dent the slug put in the nickles.
I could not have been more than 6 years old. I guess that is why I like old guns.

They're .22 brass case blanks used in nail guns.

I used those many times for their intended use. I have a Hilti tool made to shot
nail into concrete. NEVER EVER USE THEM IN A FIREARM NEVER! DONT DO IT PERIOD
