Does anyone know if IMR "hi-skor" 800x and Hodgdon "hi-skor" 800x are the same powders and thus may be interchanged in loading data?

Thanks

A call to Hodgdon will let you know for sure. I have used 800x off and on ever since it first came out and never noticed the two designations.

I don't see any reference in Hodgdon's Annual Manual to Imr hi-skor 800x. I do see the Hodgdon's version though.

Both websites for IMR and Hodgdon list 800x. According to the pictures on both sites they have identical labeling except for the company names.

In looking at 10 mm loads in my Hornady 9th ed. manual IMR 800x can be loaded in the three bullet weights offered by Hornady. I'm interested in the 180 gr xtp. As mentioned this may require a call.

I've been using 800X for my mid-range 44 mag 200 HP loads. Works well and is accurate enough for my needs. I don't shoot full house 44 mags much due to sore hands but a 200 HP @ 1100-1200 seems to be adequate.

I called Hodgdon this morning and they stated that IMR 800x has been re-branded with the Hodgdon name and thus they are the same powders.
