Looks like it's based on the same system as the Blazer R8. I do believe I'll be purchasing one of these if they every become available. I'm in need of a .308 bolt gun and a sucker for a straight pull (especially one that is ambi).

Based on their docs, it wouldn't surprise me if current Savage barrels were compatible as well.

I'm on the other side of the field. Looks like Savage is feeling the pinch of other "price point" rifle makers and is looking for a "new innovation" to bolster their market share.
