When my dad was in Europe during WWII he went to a Red Cross station and they would only SELL him coffee. Hearing anything to do with Red Cross got his blood boiling.![]()
Morgan Wallen donates to Hurricane Helene relief, says family is 'safe' amid devastating floods
Morgan Wallen donated $500,000 to the Red Cross to assist those affected by Hurricane Helene's massive destruction, including in his home state of Tennessee.www.foxnews.com
Oh, there are thousands more deaths in NC/TN than in FL and GA. I wouldn't be surprised to hear 10,000 deaths as a low number estimate. Entire towns were washed away in mere minutes. These bodies will never be recoveredSeems like NC has more damage and deaths than FL and other states.
Years ago when I was stationed in Korea (67-68)with the 38 Arty Bde (AD) on Osan AFB; NOBODY would donate to the red cross on pay day. One guy had to fly home due to a seriously ill wife, red cross supplied the airline ticket (not military flight) and THEN CHARGED HIM FOR IT !!!! Salvation Army is a different story. When my dad was in Europe during WWII he went to a Red Cross station and they would only SELL him coffee. Hearing anything to do with Red Cross got his blood boiling.
NPO's are a joke, they dump profit into executive compensation and fluff packages for them.
I built most of those docks years ago. Sad to see that marina destroyed.I saw this pic on Newsweek's site taken at Lake Lure.
