Anyone having trouble with IMGUR? I've been using it for years and now, when I go to post the link for my picture, The picture will show in the Ruger forum posting dialog window but not in my actual post. If I click on "edit", I see my picture in the edit screen but not in the actual post. What the heck is going on?

I think RoninPA had this problem recently but don’t know what service he uses.

Don’t know what he did to fix it but believe he did.

Strange because I just tried posting a photobucket pic in a thread and it worked.

But since the latest update I didn’t think it was necessary to have pictures hosted somewhere first.

You can have them on your computer and upload them directly to the forum.

It’s not needed now Kevin.
I haven’t used Imgur since the conversion and since I switch to an iPad.

Of course, I quit Photobucket the same time most others did too.

Yep I just tried to post a picture of my LCP II and a home make holster. The link appeared but when I hit 'post Reply" all that appeared is a small box with a red X in it just like CARYC

The only problem I have with Imgur is the incessant bashing of Republicans and that is norm there. I never looked it before I joined the CMP site a couple years ago when purchasing M1 carbines and Garands and they all sell parts and related stuff on that site. Of course I gave it a look see and was surprised to see how anti American it is.

Fox Mike, I just tried using "image link" and got this to work. The trouble is that anyone can click on that green "share" link and get the link code for that image.

I have many hundreds of photos on my computer. Trouble is finding the one I want to post. In IMGUR, at least they show 48 pics on each page so it's easy to go through the pages to find what I want.

Seems to be a forum permissions thing. I just tried to add an Imgur hosted image here and it didn't work. Same link placed on another forum worked just fine.

I had problems a couple days ago. It kept telling me that my images didn’t exist, but eventually it let me pull them up.

Seems that Image link and Direct Link are the only two selections that will work. Tried all the others and get a box with and X or a blank box.

I had issues with Imgur long ago, so I just switched hosts. I'm no help in answering Cary's question.

BUT,, I do like the new feature here that allows direct photo posting.

I had this problem and presumed it was the communists who run this website. Aren't they Canadians?
