Here are some pics of My first ruger, M77 Mark II, 223

NIkko stirling 4-12x42 scope

It is a real tak driver and a real joy to shoot with. I am thinking about painting the bipod to match up with the light colour of the stock, but I am in two minds about it.

Thoughts anyone?

I mainly use this for shooting the wild dogs that have been known to kill the calfs on the property. But I do also use it to shoot wild pigs - I know 223 it probably a little small for a pig, but with the set up I have its easy to fix them up with a clean headshot.

And the more I look at it the black bipod seems a good mix of colour and really suits the setup - I think I will leave it as is!

Ah, now I'm really jealous! That sounds like fun!

And IMHO .223 is just fine for pigs with a set-up like you've got. Sounds like you've got the whole shot-placement thing down!

I had to come back to this thread just to look at that rifle again!
