...today I bought an Uberti Cattleman El Patron Revolver and this gun is soo beautiful!! I think I fell in love with it  The gun is made very well and it was inexpensive too. I din´t intend to buy it, but when I saw this nice gun in the gun store, it was a must. What experience do you have with Uberti?

I've got one Eyetalian, a Cimarron P (Uberti) antiqued and tuned after the fact - and love it,

I have a pair of the Uberti Russians. They are very well made, as is the 1873 short rifle I own as well. I use them all in cowboy action shooting

Last night I disassembled the Uberti and inspected it closely. I do this with all weapons, because I'm curious how the weapons are built. As a former metal worker and lathe operator I am very interested in workmanship. The finish is very nice, only the inner surfaces of the barrel are not as smooth as with my Rugers. There are minor processing and chatter marks visible. Also the cylinder-gap clearance of 0.22 mm, 0.0087" is a little too big. Otherwise, I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of workmanship and the low price, 45% less of a Vaquero. In the coming days I will shoot it.

I have a Cimarron Model P and I love it. I sent it back to Cimarron for an action job, wider front blade and widened, squared rear sight channel (like a modern day Colt SAA), and to have the barrel indexed to correct for windage. That made it even better. It has always been an excellent shooter, better so than many of my Rugers, and it came with correctly sized throats and I've had no leading problems shooting cast bullets.

I'd definitely buy another.

I had a Cimarron Thunderer back in college that was very nice. It's my understanding that Uberti bought all of Colt's machinery for the SAA's back in the late 80's-early 90's.
