It least you could buy ammo and cases for the 7mmBR. My factory chambered .22BR (in a Rem 40XB-BR) on the other hand needed to be formed. First from URBR Basis brass then ( Happy days) from 7mmBR brass using a series of dies to reduce the neck. It was a heck of a live varmint rifle though.
I meet a lot of good people when I do shows. I also meet a lot of people that hopefully have other people that go home with them and turn on the lights. Because if they don't, they are going to spend a lot of time in the dark.
I wonder if some people just exist to aggravate others.

I haven't been to a gun show in a few years. The last one I went to had more non-gun tables selling everything from "Sham Wow" to wanna-be clothing and vests. Most of the vendors selling firearms were from brick and mortar stores and asking list prices. I ended up buying nothing and sorry I wasted my time.

The seller in the OP sounds like he's related to the guy who tried to sell me a Swedish Lahti as a Luger.
I had a fella try to interest me in a stroomrugger custom, at one gunshow. Some gomer had bubba'd the stock with a 'dimeroll' tool, but at, say, 1000 feet, the bas-relief was okay
Or the guy who tells me a stoeger 22 and an erma are the same gun

Ther'e not?? I don't know either of those guns except I had a Stoeger Luger 35-40 years ago that was a piece of junk.
I was surprised when I went to the local Myrtle Beach gun show to find a ss Rossi in 44 with a 16" barrel. Most times I can't find what I'm looking for but this time I walked in and the second table had that gun. A little discussion on the price and it walked home with me. A few tables later and I found 500 rounds of 44 for a good price too.
Stoeger .22s were big and bulky, in aluminium and steel, and some in steel. Erma made at least two sizes, in good ol "aluminium alloy" (zamak) which were smaller, and a lot smaller, than the stoeger, in .380, .32, and .22, also badged as beemans and some spanish version.
The stoeger monsters were bIowback only. The ermas worked in proper luger fashion, and looked and felt far more like a luger..
All required hotter ammo than most people would bother to buy, so were not reliable. Fed with The Hot Stuff, they operated properly snappy, but eventually broke things,

I walked away from a vendor, who was selling after market EFK barrels, Just for the sake of conversation, I mentioned to him I had an EFK .357 Sig barrel for my Ruger 944. He got very indignant and went on his anti Ruger rant. Ruger manufacturing was not consistent, guns were not accurate, unreliable, etc. He didn't want to hear any different. Not a good business man.
I once wanted a custom barrel for my 'o3a3, and took it around the corner from where i bought it.
