For our Senior Saints lunch next month (February) we were asked, those who want to, to write a poem. Now I've never done that before, poetry not being my long suite. But, well, I thought I'd give it a try. So, here goes, and remember its my very first effort:
A Poem to my wife
We've lived together many years -
-as husband and wife.
'Tis the season for romance,
So I've heard tell.
And, as to my wife,
She's a mighty fine Southern Belle.
She's stuck by me through
thick and thin.
'Tho at times I thought
we'd never win.
But when trouble was on the prod,
We clung to each other,
And trusted in God.
