A good friend called me this afternoon. She asked if I would like a box of something she had excess of. I gladly accepted it. We met this evening at the local cafe' and she had the box in her trunk.
I went & got it,, brought into the restaurant,, setting it in a chair beside me.
Another good friend was with his wife eating supper as well. I offered to share a bit of it with him. He gladly accepted my offer.
As he was leaving,, I gave him a flat of the "gold" I had been gifted.

When we got up to leave,, as I took my box to the counter where we pay,, a gentleman & his wife looked me,, my box,, and proclaimed; "Wow,, a box of gold!"

I was gifted a box,, that has 6 flats in it,, that each flat holds 30 individual items. However,, due to the size of each item,, each item had be placed in every other space. So,, each flat only has 15 items. These things are very big,, about the size of duck eggs.

By now,, you are wondering,, just what was in the box.

Real,, totally fresh,, very large, double & triple yolk chicken eggs. Country raised,, and very, very tasty. And they are too big to fit in ANY of the commercial cartons that proclaim; "Jumbo Eggs." They really are about the size of duck eggs.

So,, I was gifted 7-1/2 dozen of the best eggs you can find!

And Miss Penny was wondering why folks were staring at us a bit! :D

I'm having a hard time remembering anything that went back to previous prices once the "crisis" was over. From gas to TP to ammo- I'm pretty sure we are in for higher priced eggs from now on.

My wife says we might have to get some chickens…

Just saw on the news that the bird flu has jumped to dairy cows in Nevada. Now they're testing cows for the bird flu.
At this point I just don't know what to believe anymore.

It is very difficult for a virus to jump from one species to another. It is even more difficult for the virus to spread after it jumps to a new species.
It was COVID-19's ability to do these things that first pointed to its lab origin.
There is something going on with the bird flu.
