It would be better fit to be on a Single Six frame.

Unless you really think you need those 2 extra rounds for fighting off the biker gang :)

Now, customize that 8 shot Blackhawk with a Bisley grip, trigger, and hammer along with a 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 barrel.
Now you have a varmint gun with the sight radius and barrel length to maximize longer range shooting and hunting.

If I'm going to carry that much weight for a "carry" gun it will be with a round that has some authority (i.e. 45)

+1 on the single six being a better fit for a birdshead style carry 327... I could picture my blue Vaquerto 32 mag with BCA's 327 Cylinder conversion and a brass birdshead gripframe... My plan for my 8 shot 327 Blackhawk is a bisley gripframe and some tall sharp cornered sights like a Bowen Target rear and a patridge front...
