Interesting shift (again). Some years back the news stations were basically holding a beauty contest on the air between their "weather girls". I guess they caught flack so they shifted to men.

Some have aged quite a bit since they started, and they are starting to be replaced with, you got it "weather girls". I guess the beauty contest is back on. On the plus side, the ladies they are hiring now seem to actually know something about weather (several are degreed meteorologists).

Living in San Diego we got Leslie Lopez and Aloha Taylor...and they both speak English and are real meteorologists...and great eye candy...The ones from Mexico have a little too much "Tijuana" in their weather reports....and if you spend time in San Diego you know the "Tijuana look"...
