I preferred Pattaya Beach over Bangkok......one thing I learned the hard way there was you don't just pick up water bugs, dunk them in the red sauce and eat them like french fries...you unwrap the wings, peel off the little plate thingy on the back, pick out the tiny little piece of meat with a toothpick, dunk it in the sauce and eat it.....who knew? The look on everyone's faces in that bar was price less.

My dates would mash them up with mortar and pestle, add Nam bla and prig kee nu . 5-6 Singhas in, I never new the difference.

Ahhhh Singha....that was the brown bottle......there were usually a ton of Germans in Pattaya and they drank a beer in a green bottle. I can't recall the name.....but after a dozen they all taste the same anyway.

I upset the brewmaster at a local craft beer brewery when he asked what I thought of his latest creation.
I told him that his horse needed dialysis... Apparently that wasn't the answer he was looking for...

Singha usually for Thai, Tiger beer pretty tasty too, both pale lagers

those among other Asian brews like Kirin Ichiban, Sapporo, Tsingtao, etc. have been found in my fridge occasionally

going the other way, Hoegaarden, Franziskaner, Sanwald, Spaten, etc. can also be found served here

AHHHHHHHHHH yes but the Tiger Beer is much better if drank at The Long Bar at The Raffles Hotel Singapore.

Or follow the path of the Tiger to the Tiger Bar for a game of darts and a cold Tiger Beer.

Once you drink a Tiger Beer during a steel beach picnic that had been warm, cold, then warm cold over and over again and iced down in a split open turco drum in the middle of the IO you won't ever want want again....

The only beer they had in Jakarta was Angkor and San Miguel which were brewed in Jakarta. Both were bad so I was glad to get Tiger in Singapore.
