I pulled the trigger on a No 3

Okay, I have been wanting a No 3 in 223 for quite a while, and I finally pulled the trigger on a good one. Now that I am waiting for it go get here... what should I expect accuracy wise??? I am not a reloader and was looking at this as a gun that I could buy cheap ammo for and have some fun. What have you guys in the Forum found??? What ammo and how accurate?

I also have a #3 223. The best accuracy I have gotten is with Hornady 55gr V-Max Moly factory ammunition. Consistently Sub-MOA and close to 1/2" groups. I don't have great optics with this rifle either. It is a Simmons 4x12x50AO.

I use this rifle strictly for varmint hunting and don't shoot run-of-the-mill ammo in it. I imagine it is capable of MOA accuracy with other ammo as well.

This is my experience, others may offer other suggestions. Good luck and good shooting!
