I recently bought a 22/45 and I now have about 8,000 rounds of .22 ammo. It's so cheap compared to anything else. I'm getting stocked up at $20/525 it's such a great deal it's hard to resist.

I checked the O'bummer web site and your definitely in their cross-hairs!!

A big welcome to Rugerland all the same .......... when you're loved by "O" ....... you've come to the right place by coming here!

(You are spending your hard earned a bit fast on those .22's however as I stocked up on the Remy goldenboys a short time ago at 7.99 per 525)

Three 44s

Winch,
As a fellow owner of a 22/45 that I love congrats on a cool purchase.

That said.......first ya got enough ammo in stock...lol

Second... Three44s is right....yer overpaying for it!

8K rounds of .22 ammo....not bad......Im up to 15,000. Bought it all at Walmart when the federal value packs were $12.00

I always knew something was wrong with me. I found this forum and was quickly diagnosed, I have gunnutitis. Curable only through repeated purchases/trades/range trips/ forum posts etc. I suffer greatly from the side effects of the treatment, namely depleted finances, and fuel purchases to the shop/ range, but otherwise am doing O.K. I at least know what is "wrong" with me now and have found this support group. Thanks friends.
Oh, on the ammo, glad you're stocked up, congrats.

last year $10 or $12 for 525 was a good price ,hard to find any in my area for less then $25 ,did manage to get 2 boxes for $20 at bass pro last weekend ,but they are all gone when I went today

Now I have to admit I dropped by our local gun show this afternoon and paid... $25 for 500 rounds of 22lr.

I guess I'm a hypocrite.... but I paid about that ($25) for a brick of Federal Champion Game Shot last year and only had one box left when I tried it in my 10/22 with the new Adams and Bennet target barrel and at 50 yards I was putting the rounds pretty dern close to in the same damn hole. This stuff is close to the same... everything else shoots about 1-2" groups with that barrel. Stuff I bought today is the same but not hollow points and thus 2 grams heavier.

2 years ago I thought $10 for a box of 10 heavy shot shells was expensive now same box is $40. funny always shot magnum loads but with the ammo getting expensive brought a 22/45 ,haveing a blast shooting 22 even moved my 10/22 from the back of the gun safe

You're getting hosed. I'm still paying @$15 for 550 at Walmart. And that's up 50% over a year ago.

I shot 1,450 rounds this morning. :D

I can't find any .22 ammo for less than $20/500 in Baltimore. Wally World was $25/500!! Dick's and Bass Pro have the best $$ right now.

Buy it. If inflation hits and the dollar collapses, whether you spent $20 or $25 per 500 is going to be pretty irrelevant.
Lets say you buy 2000 rounds, you may save $20 bucks shopping around, MAYBE if you can find it.
Or if you wait it could be $200 a box if the market crashes in a few months or hyperinflation takes hold.

My view is stock on .22's now. Right now.

That's pretty much the going rate these days, if you can find it.22LR seems to be one of the more difficult calibers to find in my area.

Remington 550 packs are 15.88 at Wal-mart. Starting to see some show up on the shelves the last couple of weeks.

I can not afford gold so I buy Lead and Brass
