Its not a ruger but this summer i finally got the revolver i drolled over almost 50 years and i am only 62 years old .One of my heros besides my dad was Elmer Keith .I read all his articles starting when i was just ten.I saw these im Guns and ammo snd many other magazines .Its the model 29 44 mag Elmer Keith model 29 in 44 mag .Its just like nrw with the wooden case only the plaque was missing off the box .I really messed up though i could have gotten two of the pistols dang it same guy had two .I think Elmer Keith and Bill Ruger were the John Brownings of our day .I wont ever shoot this one the cylender has never bern turned or hammer cocked .

Those older Mod. 29's were great guns....
I often wonder where Elmer's hat is these days... (?)
CONGRATS on your purchase..it's these little victories that make things worthwhile.
