Place this post in our revolver and rimfire section to begin with. My only purpose was to reach out to some very nice folks in the single action section of the dot net forum. Which is the only other place I go to have conversations about single action guns.

Why is it there always has to be a kill-joy come along and interject some.......

Well I'll be I guess I did wrong and some one got but hurt.

They perma-banned me because of the ip address my VPN was using. At least I’m pretty sure I’m perma-banned - they never replied to any emails…. Good luck dealing with them. I never had a problem until my ban.

Yeah it does seem kind of one sided doesn't it. He can promote/market stuff from India through Amazon but I can't try and sell something in the classifieds to help out a good guy.

Oh well, my bad, I should have just bit my lip and kept my mouth shut.

Iowegan is a egotistical jerk and has been for years. Plus, he ain't near as smart about guns as he'd like everyone to think....Point is, I wouldn't worry about what he says or does one way or the other.

That does seem rather arbitrary & does not make sense to me. He could have just sent you a message & moved the post to the forum he thought appropriate. In all honesty I've never been a member there. I think I browsed it once or twice long ago & it didn't appeal to me for whatever reason. I seem to remember an Iowegan here a long time ago.
Maybe we will get to see more of you here for a while.

Sometimes I get and act angry with people but I try not to stay mad. In the long run it hurts me more than it does them. A long time ago a friend that was older & wiser than me told me, "Sometimes you just gotta pray for the -insert expletive here- until he has a name."

Mike I guess one of the reason I joined the other forum was because I suddenly could no longer gain access here. This lasted for several years until the new owner and forum structure was installed. My reason for the dot net forum was to stay in contact with the single action crowd, my passion.

Contender was kind enough to call me one day and inform me to try and log in and or rejoin which I did. As in the past and present I truly find the people here an enjoyable group to converse with.

I can't speak for any one else but I'm glad you're here. I hope things work out with the other forum. I honestly don't remember why I didn't join there. It didn't seem like my thing. Of course I tend more towards the semi-auto side of the spectrum. The only single actions I've owned were a Heritage Rough Rider, a XD-40 (they call it "Safe Action though it is really single action} and a SR-1911. Of the 3 the only one I still have is the SR-1911. I was tempted by the Wrangler but I've seen so many comments at both ends of the spectrum that I'm not sure if I want to spend money on one or not.
Edited to Add: I do realize you are referring to Single Action revolvers.

I noticed, after some research, that the changes which happened a few years ago were right after that forum was sold to a Canadian-based company, which controls a whole lot of on-line forums. At that point I decided to end my involvement with them.

canadians cornered the market on gun forums. they took a LOT of good sites over.
and when they did, quality went down since most owners had no gun background at all. it was all a 100% marketing venture.
little guys had to beg borrow steal to say anything in their own favor...without going up against big advertisers. mods were ordered to ban anyone who even looked sideways at them.
i quit my mod job with a few of them when admins allowed mods to turn on each other with no policing of the ranks.
once those canadian owners got it in, away went good quality gun discussions and behold, we have what we have now worldwide...discussions talking about your favorite food and cat.
the net' has overall gone down. way down. this is one of the last good ones. glad to be here. (fyi, i left the other one long long time ago and never looked back.)

Yeah, that's pretty much what happened to ArmaLite - a formerly great company, run by a bunch of numbskulls who don't even know the company's history!
