I don't even see Ruger delivering the "easy" guns.

Have had the cash ready for almost 3 months now and Davidson's hasn't had delivery of the SP101-2.25" 38 I am waiting for. In fact, I don't think I have seen any mainstream double actions come in. I can probably snag one on GB but I really like my Davidson's dealer (and his pricing) and knowing I am getting one that hasn't been fiddled with, straight off the distributors shelf. If production has increased as much as they say, I am curious WHAT production is going up.

Davidson's has had SP101 deliveries but the SP101's are "allocated". This means that the guns are going to Davidson's biggest and oldest accounts. Have your dealer check with other distributors or visit another shop. SP101's in 2.25", 3" and 2.25" Spurless are showing up regularly in the shops near me in upstate SC.

Best Regards,

I am not looking for the SP 101 but am seeing more of the GP 100, in all barrel lengths and Super Redhawk Alaskan at dealers near me in southeast Pa. I am picking up a 3" GP 100.

I would say that production is up to whatever can make the most money in the least amount of time. I would guess there is more effort being put into autos than other things.

That being said, I would really like to see more revolvers in the gun cases. Revolvers are supposedly not selling as fast as autos, but there sure isn't a real big selection of them around here.

But, I'm still glad that Ruger is producing nice, strong revolvers. Could be an economics thing, or just fall-out from the gun scare. I did notice the other day that there are a lot of AR-15's on the shelf at the local Sportsman's warehouse. They used to sell out within minutes of them being delivered to the store.
