HS-6 for .44 mag. Anyone use it for light loads?

Actually the reason I use it is because. I wanted it for light loads for the 44 and can use this powder for several other rounds such as 38 special 357 mag 9 mm and 45 ACP.

I use it in several big bore handguns. I follow the accuracy when testing powders, primers & bullets. It all depends,,, upon what the gun likes as to what I settle on as the final recipe.

HS-6 is one of those powders that works well in a lot of different calibers, and really shines in one....9mm.

I find that HS-6 needs to be at the upper end of it's pressure limits to burn clean, I don't use it for anything light.

I've used it in 44 Mag and 44 Special with good results. HS6 gives great performance in my 45 Colt and is probably my favorite there.
I find once you get to the middle of its range it typically cleans up and gets right.
Sort of sooty at the low end, but don't let that discourage you.
