A stainless grip frame from ruger versus an unfinished in the white grip frame as sold on Midwayusa. A local guy has one but I want to be sure I'm not getting an "in the white" one. Is there a frame marking that designates stainless versus blue frames? I have a Stainless Blackhawk 45 with 4 5/8" barrel. Anything else required for this swap?

I had Ruger tell me they considered Stainless as being "in the white" when I had a shorter barrel installed. When I questioned that, they said the barrel could be satin and the frame might be a polished finish. They would buff/polish the new part to match the old. I just had the barrel installed and returned without the extra wait time for that. Looked fine when I received it back (Super single six).
