I'm 83. Back in December of 2021 I passed away. I was gone for about half an hour before the EMTs paddled me twice to get the ticker fired up again. Spent the next week in the hospital and when they cut me loose they gave me 48hrs before checking out again.. Well here it is 3 yrs later and I'm still pissing folks off. The strange thing is I don't remember a damn thing other than what the kids have told me. About 5 weeks is missing out of my hard drive... Now the question is?? Am I a new 3 or an old 83?? :)

I realized how old I was when the kid living in my neighborhood was my surgeon cutting off my skin cancer. That was 24 years ago and he is still doing surgery on me.

So many cues...

When well mannered younger folks call you sir, all of your friends are gone, you discover loose fit jeans, your doctor asks if you're in pain, learning that sildenafil is not a new type of gasoline, you just may fit your GF's bra, you're no longer the same height as what it says you are on your driver's license, fishing, and hunting licenses (In Florida) have been free for more than a decade, you wear a hat so the top of your head doesn't sunburn, asking for senior discounts is no longer embarrassing to you, and you marvel at the fact that the guy in the bathroom mirror is you.

Profound Near Death Experience is written on the top my chart at Dr. Jon' Cox's office in Tulsa. August of 2021 I went into respiratory arrest at my house from asperating Plannedemic gack. Spent 12 days in St John Hospital in Tulsa and I was bad enough the 3rd night my wife who died in 2013 came to see me and told me it was not my time and to get my poop organized in so many words.
It caused me to have alot of strange dreams, body mechanical malfunctions and attitude adjustments. On top of that I maxxed out my tolerance for Prednisone fighting horrible sinus and ear infections also now I am really allergic to doxycycline antibiotics.

Even when you are old, I think the key to having a decent life is to stay as active as you can. By the time my grandfather was in his seventies he was already a very old man, sitting in his chair by the window and doing absolutely nothing day after day. Most days I take my two dogs out for a walk of just under an hour, and even if little else gets done that day I feel like I am still part of this world. And if after walking the dogs, and showering and putting on fresh clothes I go out for a ride on one of my two motorcycles, even if the ride is just for an hour, I feel like I've had a productive day. For good or bad, getting out of the house into the world is something I can't avoid even if I wanted to. Right now I am facing 5 days out of the next two weeks that I have doctor's appointments. Not the ideal social schedule but it does get me away from my easy chair so that has to be a good thing.

Talking to Gramps the other day and discovered he was old. He's a month older than me.

I have lunch with an old friend, I forget if he's 82 or 83. I asked him recently if his wife has my phone number? He said, I don't think so, why? I responded with if you croak I don't want to be calling you for lunch and not knowing why you don't call back! :)

Well said I think it's important to shower every day it's makes you feel fresh and walking the dog is always good we work out 3 days a week and the rest of the week walking dog . The key is keep moving . Have some hobby's .
