how often to oil under grip?

i wrote a post similar a while back but can't find it, i was wondering how often i should take my grip off and oil the spring and other metal? i have a blue gp100, and a ss sp101. thanks for any help.

Oh, geez, not very often. Me? I detail clean my revolvers once in a while and that entails using "brake clean" which removes ALL lube. So, one must lightly lube things after such "treatment".

I'm talking every 1,000 rounds or so......
