My brother has been out of work for months.
He is looking to sell his Single Six 22.
It was made in 1978
I would say 80-85% blue and wood.
Shoots great, flawless mechanically.
Only has the 22Mag cylinder

Any ideas what he should ask for it?
Low and high?

There is a gun show coming next week.

Thanks guys.

Ask $299.00 ---------------- take $250.00 or more.
JMHO... Good luck!

Yup ... with only the MAG cylinder ... $175-200 where I am, $200 absolute tops, and that's usually with only the 22LR cylinder.

I never understood how people somehow LOSE these extra cylinders, but maybe his came that way.

I only suggested $250.00 because if the gun was nice someone might pay that much.

I would not go more than $199.00 even with both cylinders... it's not a "must have" gun to me or I'd own one by now.

Six months ago, at a local (big) gun show, I gave $400 for a .22 cal convertible Single-Six, stainless 6 1/2". Nice but not pristine shape. A bit too much I know, but in this area, probably a good deal. Had both cylinders, no box or papers.

OOOhhh!!! Guess I didn't dicker hard enough. Oh well, it's a Ruger, so I ain't disappointed---and it shoots STRAIGHT!!!

.22LR cylinders are available out there, so maybe your bro can make a "complete" piece out of his.

Yeah, but it won't be serial'ed to the gun. Therefore, it's a $200 gun with a $50 cylinder, which you had to pay $50 for anyway. No gain in doing that.
