They fill the hand better than stock and are about perfect for me. The locator hole is drilled in the wrong place and you have to fill it in then re drill a hole in the proper location. Fit to the frame is not perfect but good enough for shooting.
Good enough for shooting but not so much for show.
Spend up and go custom? Yes, if you really like the gun and have the money.
some the hole for the pin. The Black Micarta , my favorite grip material, was one I had to epoxy the factory locator hole on the grip shut, then redrill the locator pin hole with the grip in position and pin removed to fit perfect, the panels needed no fitting to match the frame on this set, but can easily be sanded and polished if needed.
The Walnut on the Single Six Bisley were slightly over sized but the locator pin was correct, very simple to mate on the Stainless guns. With some sanding with the grips in place on the frame, followed with some polishing with carnauba wax made them a perfect fit, and great hand filling grips for my big paws, and a little scotchbight polishing on the stainless grip frame returned it to factory perfection!
I think you will be quite happy, I have never been dissapointed with the grips I have gotten from Hogue. When you get them on, pic's are expected,,,, 8)
They don't fit perfectly but they're what made me realize that thicker grips are much more comfortable for me than thin grips. In fact, they're the only revolver grip from Hogue that I recommend at all.
