Hickok45 on the 3” LCR

Might not make a bad nightstand gun, if you don't think it's too light.

I might see it as a woods-walking, hiking gun in a holster, lightweight being good. I checked and Ruger says it's good for .38+P.

Kinda pricy IMHO.

Love mine. Was my go to walking the dog gun in AZ. Crazy light, but good adjustable sights. Carried it with a couple snake shot loads and 3 hard cast wadcutters.

Nice thing is there small and light. My wife always grabs and carries one while out in the yard outside the 2 Acre fenced area. Taking the pups out on our walking trails, you may encounter anything from squirrels to moose, but coyotes are especially prevalent this year

My next door neighbor bought one right after they hit the market, the trigger in both S/A & D/A was horrible. It was really disappointing, it was nothing like the trigger in the regular LCR. He wasn't interested in finding a gunsmith to work on it & traded it at a great loss for a 22/45.

The LCR does not come in a 3" barrel, the LCRx does. Two different guns. I have four LCRx revolvers (see my avatar) and love them (adjustable sights, comfortable grip, 3" barrel).

I have trouble watching this guy sometimes, he only seems to look at this LCRx as a potential carry gun but complains about the larger grip and longer barrel.

I bought mine as recreational target and plinking guns, not to carry (I have an LCR and S&W 442 for that role). I find the DA and SA trigger to be very good (typical strong Ruger springs but I'm okay with that).
