Hello, I have been a Ruger collector for many decades.
I was wondering if someone can tell me the correct way to remove the rear sight on a Ruger American Full size pistol. Is it left to right to remove?
I can't find anything on the net and am installing a green dot.

Does your Owners Manual cover that?
Do the instructions for your new sight cover it?

I have yet to find any pistol manual that shows how to remove sights, they only show how to disasemble the gun(not sight removal) and adusting the sights, not removing, which is a totally different thing.

Nevermind, I figured it out, they remove left to right like most every other pistol. The rear sight came out super easy.
