Digging through my stash I found these Herrett's RSB skipline grips I purchased in 2004. New old stock. First time on revolver.
I like CaryC grips a lot more but these are a fun find.

Had Herrett's on several guns:

SBH: rough and scraped my palm (44 mag)
OM Blackhawk: Nice for shooting but ugly on a 4 5/8" barrel (45 Colt & 41 mag.)
Charter Arms 44 bulldog: Best grips ever=really tamed recoil (44 spl)
Colt Python: Dressy and comfortable (357 mag)

From the Hogue catalog. Same idea as the old Herrett's. Filling the space behind the knuckle cracking trigger guard and wider fuller design to spread the recoil. They work fine for me with full throttle loads. But rarely shoot full power anymore. The beautiful CaryC grips work for me just fine with my standard plinking load at about 1000fps.

I have 4 sets of Herrett grips for my 2 Blackhawks. I went sorta wild buying them on eBay a few years back when I had a strong interest in such things. There is a difference in the size and shape of the Herretts. The Herrett's set I like the best is very comfortable to shoot and looks better than the ones shown in the post above. Yeah, I have a set like that also. I like the extended grips I got from Texas grips during that period on one of the guns. I like the looks of the more traditional grips and I can shoot them okay for the few times a year I actually shoot the guns. I seldom shoot full power loads. Every few years I get interested in grips

I also have a set of the Herretts Blackhawk "stocks". Unused, by me.
But I have an old pair for a S&W 17 as well as another for a S&W 25 that I love.
Also, a pair of their 1911 style called "Training Stocks" for a S&W 41 that I much prefer to the original Smith grips.
Hits and misses.
