I have a Ruger 1A 30-06 with red recoil pad LNIB with box, large plain cardboard box that rifle came in, fired less than 50 rounds, nice but plain walnut, no marks on gun that I can find. What would be a fair asking price. Appreciate any help, Thanks.

It really boils down to whether you WANT to sell it or want to mazimize profit.

Right now #1 prices are pretty suppressed across the board. A quick look at GB showed several "a's in 30-06 with red pads etc priced at $650 that haven't sold in three auction cycles. The 30-06 is probably the most commonof the "A" rifles and that holds the value down.

There are actually quite few on the various auction sites right now. The stuff priced much higher $750- $950 aren't getting ANY bids at all.

I would consider a 30-06 "A" as a common rifle and unless it has something extra going for it, really good wood being the only thing I can think of or maybe the 200 year stamp adding $50 or so I just can't see them actually selling for much more than $650 and and even that is going to be hard to find.
