Help trying too remove a rear sight

I have a rutger 97dc I have purchased and the rear sight is damaged I can remove it due to it having a strip screw any tips on how I can remove it without doing damaged

If you have access to a drill press, I'd try drilling straight down through the stripped screw. You'll have to find a replacement sight but that's easy enough. It's a tricky job so if you're not good with such work, better take it to a professional. BTW, there are spring loaded parts hidden under the sight base that will fly out when you drive the sight off it's dovetail.

The P series guns have a set screw, the best way to adjust or remove the sights on these guns is a sight pusher tool.
