It’s a coyote. I see them regularly on my camera. I have traps set and get one from time to time.
Contender,For some reason, my computer wouldn't download the video. But if others say coyote,, then most likely a coyote.
I grew up not too far north of blume, and like him, we didn't have coyotes. When I joined the Army, and went to Texas, was where I got introduced to them. I learned to hunt them there. When I left Texas,, I thought; "I've enjoyed hunting coyotes,, but I'm glad we don't have them in NC."
Well, now we have them, and pretty much every state now has them.
They enjoyed a population explosion & growth after the government stopped allowing the western states the proven control methods used up until the late 1960's.
Here also. Growing up in mid GA we did not have a coyote problem, now I hear them every night and sometimes pick them up on camera. Surprisingly enough there are still plenty of rabbits, at least at my house.I know it is hard to believe but I grew up here in rural S.C. and back in the 70's when I was a teenager there was no such thing as a coyote here and I did hear a rumor that there might be a deer here or about..... dove, quail and rabbit was all there was to hunt.
I must have the same problem. My first thought was Chupacabra…..I might just be watching too much History Channel, but it looks like a Skinwalker to me.
Or reading too much Tony Hillerman.I might just be watching too much History Channel, but it looks like a Skinwalker to me.
These days the marina you used has coyotes in the surrounding area. Wilmington, in fact all of the harbor area is knee deep in coyotes. We use to live across the road from the USF Botanical Gardens; One early morning when out for a bike ride ( losing weight) I saw a Yote cutting across the campus.
