Ruger did not list the Ultralight Stainless in its 2010 catalog but did keep it on its website until recently. They have now been removed from the website and Lipsey's lists them as discontinued. Has anyone heard if there will be a replacement? I had been asking Ruger (through "Tell the CEO" on their website) to add .308 Win. to the calibers that were available in this model but I guess that is not going to happen.

The name of the game is to stay competitive and lean, they can't keep pumping money into models that don't sell. There are still ultralights in blued/walnut.

1) Business 101 - if it doesn't sell well, it gets dropped.

2) Time, resources & materials on the sloooow movers are better put towards the popular models.

3) You snooze, you lose
