I don't have a pic handy, but I made one for my hat by braiding three rawhide boot laces and I think it turned out nice. I knotted the ends, wrapped it around the crown and wrapped black thread around where it crossed to hold it together.

He specifically wants a Stetson brand hat band. Sorry I didn't make myself clear. His hat is one that was handed down to him, but is missing the hat band. I call it his Garth Brooks hat.

I like these porky quill hat bands. I've had on on my Stetson crusher for years.

I'll be moving to the southwest soon and was thinking last week that I need to make a rattlesnake hatband.
We make 'em out of copper heads and timber rattlers.

Some gun shows have a rattlesnake guy there and they have lots of bands, at least when I was in Texas.
